Sun Safety

As summer approaches, many people will spend additional time outdoors. It is important to take precautions and protect yourself from the sun’s rays. Too much sun exposure can damage your skin, eyes, and weaken your immune system.
Sun Safety Tips
 • Avoid sun exposure between 10 AM  and  4 PM
 • Apply sunscreen with SPF that protects against UVA and UVB rays at least 30 minutes before going out into the sun
 • Reapply sunscreen 
 • Protect your eyes with sunglasses that contain UV protection
 • Wear a wide brim hat
 • Wear lip balm with SPF
 • Avoid getting burned
 • Seek shade
 • Wear protective clothing
